Dating Lewis Hamilton is challenging, says Nicole Scherzinger.

Nicole Scherzinger has admitted that dating Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton is “challenging”, insisting that she “wouldn’t wish a long-distance relationship on anyone.”
She confessed it is hard trying to keep their relationship going when they’re on different continents.
Hamilton, 27, and the ‘X Factor’ judge try to spend time together at his luxury pad in Monaco or at her LA home.
But this weekend he is on the grid in New Delhi, India, while the former Pussycat Doll takes her seat for the X Factor live shows in London.

“Every relationships has its things and you work it out. We made it last for four years so far, so it definitely makes things interesting and challenging,” she told the Sun.
“I wouldn’t wish a long-distance relationship on anyone, Lewis would say the same. But if it’s worth it, you fight for it. We try to see each other as much as possible,” she said.
She added that the McLaren driver had flown in to be with her on his way to this weekend’s Indian Grand Prix, and even made a trip down to see the X Factor.“Lewis was backstage. He enjoys it and is supportive of me. I don’t care whether he felt like he was dragged there,” she said.
“He wants to support me. I am there for him and his races,” she said.

Dating game: Take Liz out!

When I arrive at ITV’s Maidstone Studios, it’s as if a fire has broken out. A large group of partly dressed girls, in Uggs or novelty slippers and rollers, are on the steps, in clusters, while a haze of smoke drifts above their heads. Oh no! My backstage interviews with the contestants and host of Saturday night’s successful primetime dating show Take Me Out will be cancelled! But it’s no wonder: all that hairspray, the set must be a tinderbox. But then I realise: the young women, almost all 30 of them, and a couple of anxious minders nearby with clipboards, are merely having a fag break.

Igo inside. I pass through a door with a notice, ‘No boys allowed beyond this point’, and walk along a corridor, peeking in rooms littered with the detritus of the modern British girl: half-eaten sandwiches, magazines, bags. The smell is overpowering, as if the duty-free perfume store at Terminal Four has just exploded, but it’s the noise that knocks you sideways. The girls are ushered back inside, and six hairdryers in the make-up room are powered up – it’s as though a Boeing 747 is landing on my head. I remember this noise: my all-girls high school, circa 1974. So, the chatter hasn’t changed but, my God, more or less everything else has…Take Me Out is the 21st-century version of Blind Date. The show has been running for just over two years, with viewing figures steadily increasing from an initial four million to nearly five and a half million, and I’m at the recording of its fourth series. The premise is this: 30 girls stand at lecterns, while one young man (known hereinafter as a ‘lad’) descends in a futuristic lift, like a Christian to a pack of lionesses (‘the flirty 30’).

As he reveals his ‘personality’, with the aid of a video of his home life with his mum and his mates, the girls can turn their lights off if they are no longer interested. If all the lights go off, what is known as a ‘blackout’, he leaves, ego seemingly barely dented, to the strains of Celine Dion singing ‘All By Myself’. But if more than one light is still on in the final round, the lad gets to choose his date and they go to somewhere called Fernando.

Cilla Black’s place is taken by the slightly more masculine comedian Paddy McGuinness from Bolton (he reminds me of American film star Vince Vaughn), who seems to have the total recall of a memory man, until I realise all the girls have huge signs on their lecterns with their names.I sit in the green room with a group of the girls, all getting ready for the dress rehearsal. Each applied to take part online and are staying, often two to a room, at a nearby budget hotel for the two-week duration of the shooting of this series, with expenses of just £10 a day. There are two ‘mums’, Denise and Cathy, who look after them, make sure they get on the minibus on time, and so on (these girls might look 35, what with all the slap, but some still bring teddies, and one has even brought her blankie). Spare contestants are also here, to take up a space at a lectern whenever a girl is chosen for a date, while the lads (who I’m not allowed to meet so I don’t give the game away)
are kept under wraps until show time.

Needless to say, preparation takes all day. Each girl is told to bring ten outfits with her; some bring 15. I could barely muster three, even now, and I work in fashion! But this is not the only difference between me at the age of 22 (the mean age here), and these girls now. We’re like different species.

Oct

The confidence and optimism are staggering: each girl I speak to says, ‘Tonight is my night, I can feel it. He’s here!’ One particular girl, the most beautiful of the lot, a layer of hairspray shy of 6ft, has sprayed her skin so dark, dyed her hair so densely inky that at first I think she is a member of the Three Degrees. She tells me she is 23, although ‘I tell everyone I’m 21’, a model for magazines such as Nuts and Zoo, and that her name is Zoe. I write it down. ‘No!’ she shouts, peering at my notebook. ‘It is spelt Z-O-I-E-Y!’

Of course it is. No one here has a normal name, like Margaret or Barbara. I’m staggered when a gorgeous black girl tells me her name is Thiopia. ‘What happened?’ I ask, aghast. ‘Did your parents have a thing against the letter E?’ The huge, heavy-lashed eyes are unmoved. Anyway, back to ZOIEY! She tells me she comes from Bideford in Devon. ‘Really?’ I say, thinking she must surely hail from somewhere far more exotic, like Tahiti, or Neptune. She tells me she is also a sports coach, a gymnast, and has not had a boyfriend for six months. Seriously? Are the men in Devon blind? ‘The guys there don’t appreciate me,’ she says, in what is surely the understatement of the decade. ‘They are a bit small. I am looking for someone with the same intellect, the same ambitions as me, a City boy, I suppose, not a farmer.’

It seems the more gorgeous the girl, the more likely she is to be passed over by the UK’s spotty male populace. Take Me Out’s publicist tells me that in the show they recorded the day before, the second most gorgeous of the 30, Malin, with stunning bone structure and a neat ponytail, was passed over by a lad for someone ‘really petite with red hair. The lads seem to like smaller girls, and bubbly ones, but not too bubbly.’

As I chat to more of the girls, a pattern emerges. They are so breathtakingly confident, hyper-groomed and ambitious, convinced life is going to give them exactly what they want, that most men are mere roadkill beneath those heels.

I meet Noelle, a stunning waitress from Cork, who tells me she is 24 tomorrow and hasn’t had a date in two years: she has copious hair extensions and patterned leggings she bought from Primark ‘for one euro!’ What sort of man is she looking for? ‘I love the look of [Towie star] Joey Essex,’ she says dreamily. ‘Not too fashionable, tall and skinny is good.’ Has she always been so hyper-groomed? ‘I used to be a goth!’ she shouts. ‘I’m still a feminist. The make-up is my security blanket.’
Samantha, 22, a petite Sandra Dee lookalike from Liverpool, says she has never had a boyfriend. ‘Shoes put me off,’ she says of the possible reason why. She owns her own beauty salon, and says she thinks her independence puts off men. ‘I am confident,’ she says. ‘I’ve been turned down twice on the show already, but we just laugh about it.’

Oct
20

Next I chat to Leah, a 22-year-old barbering student. She trained in musical theatre, but is learning to cut men’s hair as ‘something to fall back on’. She comes from Liverpool but wants ‘to find someone out of the area. The men at home are generous, but I haven’t found the right one.’ What turns her off in a man? ‘If his mum buys all his stuff. I’m not into gold chains, or overconfidence.’

She, too, has the panstick make-up and drag-queen eyelashes, and I wonder if she looks like this every day. ‘Only on special occasions, just to feel better, and because all the other girls wear it. Some girls here are wearing far too much, but the lights in the studio are quite harsh.’
Samantha thinks the reason they all wear so much make-up is because ‘people take so many more photos now, so I make sure I look my best. I spend a lot on clothes, but I will swap outfits with my friends. I get my hair done once a week.’

I meet only one woman who is not in her early 20s: Caroline, a 40-year-old travel presenter from Bournemouth. She hasn’t had a boyfriend for a year, probably because she is after ‘a Jamie Redknapp lookalike’. She finds it hard to meet men as all her friends are married and no longer go to bars and clubs. Wouldn’t it be easier to try internet dating than go on a show like this, where the oldest lad all week has been 30? ‘I’ve tried that. The minute you say you want to meet up they disappear.’

Oct
20

The rehearsal takes ages – no one will get to bed until 11pm, after a 12-hour day — and this is the point when presenter Paddy appears. It’s obvious all the girls fancy him: there is much fanning of faces with acrylic talons. The show’s researcher Marcus stands in as each lad, and the girls all rather sweetly keep their lights on for him. Whenever there is a break, the girls sit on stools behind their lecterns, resting their aching feet.

In a lull, I sit on the stairs with Paddy. I tell him I wonder the show hasn’t thought to turn the tables and have a panel of 30 boys all deciding on the lovability of just one woman. He laughs. ‘The boys would never turn off their lights, it just wouldn’t happen. A lad would go, “She’s breathing, so I’m keeping my light on!” Whereas the girls are really picky and ballsy, so confident.’ He says his job on the show is to ‘be on the side of the lad, sympathise with him, let him know I’m here with him, defend him’.
He says he used to watch Blind Date with his mum.

While that show had its occasional wedding, Take Me Out so far has managed one engagement, in series two, when Fabian de Fabiani (you see, they all have such strange names) realised he had made a mistake with his first choice and tracked down a woman he had rejected, Kayleigh. The budget for this programme seems quite small; I seem to remember the Blind Date couples were sent off to exotic, far-flung places. This lot get barely two days in Fernando, which turns out to be Tenerife. There has been scandal, too, when one lad was revealed to be a male escort, with a girlfriend at home, while a female contestant admitted she was a prostitute.

Oct
20

But it’s clear that beneath the veneer of independence, these girls are all here to fall in love.

I find this the saddest part, given that the lads when we eventually see them are a pretty hopeless crew (in the last series, a sewage worker used his T-shirt as a hanky so the girls could glimpse his abs). I’d found it poignant, when we had all trooped on set for the dress rehearsal, where a grubby man in jeans and headphones coaches them on the hand-waving and high-fiving, that these women are so shiny and full of hope, when the odds are that any man they do end up with will let them down.
I tell each girl I chat to that they should ‘never trust a man, don’t marry him and don’t rely on him financially’ and they just stare at me, full of unshakable optimism, lashes fanning my indignant, disapproving face. The girls are so gorgeous, so vital, the ZOIEYs and the Samanthas and the Noelles, in their body-con dresses and Essex tans, it’s no wonder they are all on their own. I think they realise, in the back of their minds, beneath all that hair, that they will eventually have to settle.

The strangest thing about my day at Take Me Out is that there is no animosity among the girls, who share dressing rooms and underwear. There is a sort of love between them, as they bond over the two weeks in their cheap hotel nearby. Any man by comparison seems dull, doughy, pedestrian, terrified. The final word goes to my new friend Samantha, salon owner and goddess. She says she looks up to Angelina Jolie and Katie Price, and I wonder if she thinks she will still have time to look the way she does – the Juicy Couture tracksuit, the lash extensions – when she has children. Unlike the stars she loves, she might not have the money, the nannies… ‘Oh God, yes!’ she says. ‘I will still look like this. I’ll just get up, like, really, really early.’

How to Make the First Date a Lot More Fun and a Lot More Successful.

If you’re single and looking to meet someone new, you probably know all about online dating.  Love it or hate it – the pros and cons of online dating are well known.

On the pro side, online dating opens up a wide net to find other singles also looking to meet someone new.   You get to see their likes, dislikes, pet peeves, and other interests.

But what you don’t see is the person.  You can invest a lot of wasted time in the back and forth messaging and emails before the actual in-person meeting takes place.  You take a big risk getting to know someone online, finally setting a place and time to meet, and then—if you don’t hit it off and plan to see each other again—starting all over again.

It’s a common problem and one that the new dating website has effectively solved.

At first dating site the emphasis is placed on having a great first date. Rather than technology matching you up based on your profile, you post what you want to do on your first date and then find people that are into the same thing.  It can be bike riding at the beach on a Saturday afternoon, seeing a foreign film, going to an art gallery, or exploring a flea-market on a Sunday morning.

Other members can respond to your date idea or you can respond to theirs. Then you work out the details and meet! The activity-based approach helps you get offline faster, so you can go on fun dates and see if you generate any in-person chemistry.

And, if the date doesn’t lead to romance – you have at least been out doing something you love with someone who appreciates it as well.

Post your favorite date ideas, starting with YanikaBrides.com and fill in the rest. You can check out other dating posts and user profiles and see if you and other members have common interests. Once you connect you can plan your date!

Every day, YanikaBrides.com sends you new dates from users who share your interests. They send the dates you post to users who might like them, and you can check out their profiles and message them to set up a date. The idea is to find people who like the same places and want to do the same things as you.

The website’s matching algorithm learns your preferences over time to better suit your interests. For example, if you always delete dessert dates, they’ll stop sending them to you.

YanikaBrides.com uses the latest technology to protect your privacy and lets you control who sees your information and how.

They also have a really cool YanikaBrides.com available at the App Store. It features real-time access to thousands of nearby date ideas, and features sleek user profiles that include full-size photos, personal interests, and easy messaging. It’s great for the career-driven single who can only meet spontaneously.

So, if you are frustrated with the amount of time and effort needed on most online dating services – perhaps it’s time to have a little fun instead.

Griner dunks as Baylor women rout Georgia Tech.

Baylor was cruising, the Lady Bears’ reserves were waiting to check in and there seemed to be little excitement.

Then Brittney Griner got behind the Georgia Tech defense and everyone in the arena knew what could be coming.Baylor’s 6-foot-8 All-American didn’t disappoint.

Griner threw down a two-handed dunk to cap a sensational performance and the Lady Bears stormed into the NCAA regional finals for the third straight year with an 83-68 victory over Georgia Tech on Saturday.

Griner, who finished with 35 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks, took a pass from Brooklyn Pope and soared in for her dunk with 6:29 left in yet another rout for the Lady Bears _ swinging briefly on the rim for good measure.

“I wanted to get one in this game,” said Griner, who was almost nonchalant about her crowd-pleasing play. “Brooklyn got me the ball and I just went up and slammed it.”

It was the second straight game in which Griner dunked and the seventh slam of her college career. She’s now tied with former Tennessee star Candace Parker, whose two dunks in NCAA tournament play had been the most.

“Even though she dunks in warm-ups all the time, in the game it’s just something that automatically just gets us fired up and really excited,” Baylor’s Odyssey Sims said. “I think we get more excited for her than she does for herself.”

Destiny Williams added 18 points on 9-for-10 shooting for the top-seeded Lady Bears (37-0), who’ll play second-seeded Tennessee in the regional final on Monday night, the winner advancing to the Final Four.

Baylor, the 2005 national champion, will be seeking its third Final Four appearance and second in three years. Tennessee, which has won eight titles, will try to get to the national semifinals for the 19th time.

Though her team was hopelessly behind at the time, Georgia Tech coach MaChelle Joseph didn’t feel Griner was rubbing it in with her dunk. Heck, she thought it was cool.

“It doesn’t bother me,” Joseph said. “I think she’s great for the game. I think it’s awesome. Nobody wants to get dunked on, but how many people can actually say I coached in a game where a female basketball player dunked?”

Baylor took control with a 20-0 first-half run and never gave fourth-seeded Tech (26-9) a chance to answer. Sharp-shooting freshman Sydney Wallace led Georgia Tech with 32 points.

Griner dominated with her scoring (13-for-18 shooting), rebounding and intimidation on defense. Then came the dunk, which put Baylor up 77-46 _ and even the neutral fans stood and roared their approval.

A few seconds later, during a timeout, Baylor coach Kim Mulkey took Griner and the other starters out, giving the crowd another chance to salute the game’s most dominating player.

“There’s no doubt that Brittney Griner is definitely the best player I’ve ever coached against, I’ve ever seen play live,” Joseph said. “She’s a tremendous talent on both ends of the floor. But I thought their complementary players, Destiny Williams in particular, had a huge game for them, especially in the first 10 minutes of the game.”

Georgia Tech made the round of 16 for the first time and came in with nine victories in the last 10 games. The Yellow Jackets showed they were serious about competing early as Wallace, who scored 51 points in the first two rounds of the tournament, hit a 3-pointer in front of the Baylor bench and dropped in a high floater over Griner that put Tech up 10-6 and forced a Baylor timeout.

Wallace had no problem showing some enthusiasm after burying her 3.

If only she and her teammates had known what was ahead.

The Lady Bears charged out of the timeout and scored the next 20 points and take a 26-10 lead _ and they did it with everyone contributing.

Griner hit three soft turnaround shots. Williams got inside for three buckets and made a leaner in the lane. Kimetria Hayden knocked down a jumper and a free throw, and Sims added three free throws. She finished with 11 points.

Mulkey said the key was beating Tech’s press, which resulted in easy shots for Griner and Williams.

“Brittney got 35 points because of (her teammates’) ability to handle the pressure and score at the end of the press,” Mulkey said.

Tech committed seven turnovers and missed six shots while going scoreless for 6 1/2 minutes during Baylor’s game-breaking surge. The Yellow Jackets would never recover.

The only thing the Lady Bears had to worry about after that was when Mulkey would order them back to practice to start working on Tennessee.

And to make sure they stayed out of the way when Griner dunked.

Relationship Therapy You Can Do on Your Own.

While most relationships have their share of ups and downs, very few couples are willing or able to invest the time and/or money that traditional relationship therapy would cost.

This doesn’t mean that they’re more or less committed to the success of their relationship than other couples – only that they have different limits as to what they find an acceptable intrusion into their private lives (particularly when it comes to a third party such as a therapist).

The good news for those that find themselves in this particular situation – or even when one partner simply isn’t willing to go into therapy – is that there are things you can do that can lead to self healing and repairing a relationship that may be damaged.

You can do this as one partner or as a couple, although it’s much more effective when both people participate.   We’ve become a society of do-it-yourselfers, so it only makes sense that we’re bringing this idea into the more personal aspects of our lives rather than the simple home improvement projects.

Positive thinking is a great place to start. Whenever the roads of romance become a little too rocky for comfortable travel, it’s time to take a step back and remind each other why you fell in love in the first place.

Make a list, write a letter, write a poem, or take a few minutes to hold each other and dance. Remind each other of the wonderful person you are when unencumbered with the worries of the world, children, finances, and the world outside the circle of your arms.

There are many different styles of self-therapy that you can use. You may want to check out some books on the various styles and read them together for advice, guidance, and perhaps a little insight as to where your specific problems may lie and the best path to take in the future.

One highly recommended style of relationship therapy is known as the Imago, which is Latin for ‘match’ style. You can find many books on this topic either online or at your local library. The important thing is that you take as many steps as possible together.

Role-playing is another great way to obtain valuable insight as to how you perceive your partner as well as how he or she sees you. You may learn a lot about how the English language is woefully inadequate at conveying precise messages.   You may intend to say one thing and your partner may hear something else entirely. It’s important to learn how to communicate with one another positively and accurately. Working together through self-therapy and role-playing can help you achieve that.

How Does Christie Brinkley Look This Good at Age 58?

Have you ever noticed how certain celebrities and supermodels whose careers we have watched since they were young, manage to look so young, even into their 50’s and 60’s?

They seem locked in a time warp of their early 20’s and 30’s, never showing signs of wear and tear, like wrinkles or age spots.

One woman who seems to have stopped the time continuum is Christie Brinkley. A veteran supermodel who’s been in the industry for more than 40 years, she continues to amaze us with her youthful good looks and luminous skin, even now at age 58.

In fact, when you compare pictures of Christie in her 20’s and her 50’s, it looks as though time stood still. No lines, no wrinkles or crow’s feet, just glowing, youthful perfection. How does she do it?

Well, most people would automatically assume Botox and other surgical enhancements—but, they’d be wrong.  Despite having access to the best dermatologists and surgeons in the business, Christie credits her flawless complexion to a meticulous skin care ritual using natural anti-aging products.

And today, she’s decided to share the skin care secrets she’s learned from decades in the beauty business with women everywhere by creating the Christie Brinkley Skincare line.

The cornerstone of her product line is the Day & Night DNA Renewal System. What makes it unique from other anti-aging products is a breakthrough science called Active Epigenetic Technology.  Scientists now know there’s a distinct rhythm that dictates how our skin reacts to certain ingredients. By utilizing the right ingredients at the optimal times throughout the day (and night), we can influence cellular function and expression, turning negative gene markers “off” while turning positive gene markers “on.” In doing so, we can more efficiently achieve skin that looks healthier, younger, and more vibrant.

Overnight Repair Treatment—detoxifies and repairs your skin as you sleep. Formulated with a proprietary active blend that contains Arabidopsis Thaliana Extract, Limonium Narbonese Extract, Micrococcus Lysate,  Aminoguanidine and Decarboxy Carnosine HCI, and Citrullus Vulgaris Fruit Extract, repairing enzyme ingredients and natural fruit extracts, the treatment is designed to penetrate the skin for maximum ingredient absorption and increased blood flow.

As an avid environmentalist, Christie has ensured her products are made with all-natural, vegan ingredients, and that they’re paraben-free and cruelty-free.  Her day and night products were developed for women of all skin types who are looking to keep their skin young and healthy, without resorting to surgical extremes.

Today, dermatologists will tell you that Botox and facelifts are not the only ways to achieve a younger-looking complexion, and often are far from the best option.  Botox costs hundreds of dollars per session, and has frightening possible side effects. It takes 3-10 days to take effect and can lasts for only three to six months. Facelifts can cost upwards of $10,000 and are considered a major surgery. They require a long and painful recovery and can result in scarring, clotting, nerve damage, infection, and numbness. And, neither of these options even eliminates sun spots or uneven skin tone.

The ingredients Christie selected for the Day & Night DNA Renewal System, however, have delivered proven results with no painful or costly side effects. So, what are these miracle workers, exactly?

Mar

Each of us has our own supply of enzymes in our bodies. Among other things, these enzymes work to isolate and turn off negative DNA markers. But, on their own, they can do only so much— hence the rapid rate at which many of us exhibit visible signs of aging. That’s where ingredients like plankton, Arabidopsis thaliana extract, and micrococcus luteus come into play.

These ingredients, each of which is featured in Christie Brinkley products, house enzymes that bolster the effectiveness of our own. The results are so compelling, they’ve been written about by top publications, including Allure Magazine and the New York Times.

In fact, in a six week consumer study 100 percent of women said their skin appeared more radiant, luminous, youthful-looking, and felt more hydrated. 93 percent of women saw younger- looking skin in just 14 days. 87 percent of women saw an improvement in the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. 87 percent of women saw an improvement in skin tone, firmness, and said skin looked more lifted. 80 percent of women said this was the best anti-aging skin care system they’ve ever used. Finally, 100 percent of women said they would recommend this product to their friends. *Consumer study based on daily/nightly use.

And, with consistent and continued use of the products, the results reportedly keep getting better! Here’s what just a few women had to say after using the products:

Suzette from Santa Monica, CA says “I was married to a dermatologist and tried everything he threw at me, but nothing worked liked Christie Brinkley’s Skincare System.”

Sharon Dorram from NY, NY reports “I am hooked! I love how my skin looks and feels. I am thrilled to have discovered a new secret weapon [against the war on aging]!”

Christie’s Day & Night DNA Renewal System is regularly priced at $99.95. But, for a limited time, readers of How Life Works can purchase it for just $49.95 plus free shipping. That’s half off the retail price with no charge for 1-3 day shipping! This exclusive offer is available only at DermStore, the #1 online destination for skin care and beauty. And, it won’t last long!

There’s no risk involved if you don’t absolutely love the product and see results within 30 days. Just send the bottles back—even if they’re completely empty—and receive a full refund.

UConn women hope to slow down Penn State in Kingston regional semifinal.

Geno Auriemma knows UConn can keep pace with Penn State’s high-powered offensive, he’d just prefer if the Huskies didn’t have to.

The top-seeded Huskies will face the fourth-seeded Nittany Lions on Sunday in the Kingston regional semifinals. Gonzaga and Kentucky will meet in the second game for a spot in the regional final of the NCAA women’s tournament.

Penn State has run its way through the first two rounds, averaging a whopping 87½ points in its two victories. Still the Nittany Lions haven’t faced a defense such as Connecticut, which is on pace to top its own NCAA record for scoring defense.

“I think we’re going to be OK scoring points, but I think guarding them is going to be the difference in the game,” Auriemma said. “We’re going to have to do a great job of limiting their possessions.”

The Huskies (31-4) are allowing just 45 points a game this season. They’ve picked that up in the first two rounds of the tournament, stymieing Kansas State in the second round by giving up an NCAA tournament-low 26 points.

“I think they struggled in a lot of half-court games where the game is low scoring,” Auriemma said. “Their strength is their ability to make people play at their pace so I don’t think either team wants to walk the ball up the floor and play a 55-48 kind of game. I don’t think that’s going to happen. It’s a test of wills. They want to play their way, we want to play our way. Our two ways are similar. There are a couple things we do that they don’t do and hopefully we’ll take advantage of those things.”

Penn State coach Coquese Washington doesn’t care at what pace the game is played at. She just is looking for one simple thing.

“A game where we’re up one when the buzzer goes off that would be a comfortable score for me,” Washington said laughing.

This is the Huskies’ 19th straight trip to the round of 16 while the Nittany Lions advanced this far for the first time since 2004. Auriemma has been impressed with the way Washington, in her fifth season, has rebuilt the Penn State program.

“She’s one of the most impressive young people that I’ve come across in a long, long time,” he said.

Auriemma says he’s admired Washington’s career since she was an assistant at Notre Dame, and helped the Irish win a national title in 2001.

“She’s kind of got a whole lot of things in place,” Auriemma said. “Notre Dame, an assistant there, a law school grad, trying to run a family. Just a lot, and doing it at a place like Penn State, where it’s not just any school. … I’ve got to tell you I’m really, really impressed with the job she has done. There may not be five other coaches in her age group that are better than she is.”

Washington has mutual respect for Auriemma. Her fondest memory of the Hall of Famer was back when she was the associate head coach for Notre Dame.

“When I was at Notre Dame I was pregnant with my son, Quenton,” Washington said. “We come out before the game and he rubs my belly with his hand. I said ‘Geno what are you doing’, and he said ‘I got to rub the baby.’ That is one of my favorite memories about Geno. He’s a really good guy, fun to coach against. He certainly has done so many wonderful things for our game.”

Washington has done an incredible job rebuilding the Nittany Lions since taking over in 2007. She’s got them back in the round of 16 for the first time since 2004 when they lost to Connecticut in the regional final.

They won their first Big Ten regular season title since 2004 this year. They also posted their highest win total since 2004-05. It’s the second straight NCAA bid under Washington’s watch for Penn State, once a Top 25 staple before slipping in the past few years of longtime coach Rene Portland’s tenure.

Penn State (26-6) was able to advance to Kingston by winning two games at LSU, including beating the host team in the second round. Winning on the road has been no problem for this squad which was 7-1 away from home in Big Ten conference games this season.

“We’ve been pretty strong on the road all year,” said guard Maggie Lucas, who is averaging 19.6 points this season. “We’ve gone into some tough environments and come out with wins. We’re sure that they’ll have a big crowd here and we’re used to it.”

Canadian women lose rugby sevens semifinal.

Canada’s national senior women’s rugby sevens team fell 22-12 to England in semifinal action at the IRB Sevens Challenge Cup in Hong Kong on Saturday.

The setback snapped Canada’s five-game tournament winning streak, stretching to the 2011 USA Sevens.

England led 12-5 at the break and 22-5 before a consolation try by Canada’s by Mandy Marchak.

“We fell off too many tackles in the first half which put a lot of pressure on ourselves to recover from,” Canadian coach John Tait said. “There was no lack of effort from the team, but we weren’t accurate with our passing or contact skills and a quality side like England makes you pay for that.”

England, which later Saturday won the title with a 15-10 win over world champion Australia, will meet Canada again at the London Sevens in May.

Meanwhile, the Canadian men roared to a 10-0 lead en route to a 10-7 victory over Spain on the second day of the Hong Kong Sevens.

Canada, which tops the Pool E table with two wins and a draw, will meet Russia in the quarter-finals on Sunday.

“A pleasing end to the day after a disappointing start against Zimbabwe,” said Canada coach Geraint John. “Players showed far more energy and enjoyment with better skill level in the last game and we could have scored a couple more against a very good Spanish team who will be a test for anyone (Sunday).”

Canada fell 24-21 to Zimbabwe in its early game on Saturday.

Kansas women can’t sustain hot start vs Tennessee.

Kansas had the kind of start it could only dream of against mighty Tennessee in the regional semifinals of the women’s NCAA tournament. The Jayhawks soon discovered it takes more than 20 minutes to bring down the Lady Vols.Reserve Meighan Simmons scored 16 of her 22 points in the second half and Tennessee rallied past the Jayhawks 84-73 Saturday, advancing to its second straight regional final and 25th in 31 years.Glory Johnson added 18 points for the second-seeded Lady Vols (27-8), who trailed by as many as 14 points before overtaking Kansas in the second half.

It was the 1,098th win for Tennessee coach Pat Summitt, who announced in August she’d been diagnosed with early onset dementia, Alzheimer’s type, and has yet to commit to coaching next season.

“The first half we tend to get ourselves in a hole, but we fought back. I thought our bench was outstanding,” Tennessee associate head coach Holly Warlick said. The Lady Vols trailed 26-12 in the first half, but cut the deficit to 35-30 by halftime. They took the lead for good with a 19-9 run to open the second half.

Angel Goodrich had a game-high 23 points and Aishah Sutherland had 19 for Kansas (21-13), which fell to 0-3 in regional semifinals. But the Jayhawks made it much further than most thought they would after barely reaching the NCAA tournament.

“We have nothing to be upset about. We lost. We’re disappointed, but we should be proud of the run that we’ve made and the season we had,” Kansas guard Monica Engelman said.

Tennessee couldn’t do anything right for the first 11 minutes, falling behind to a Kansas team that finished below .500 in the Big 12.But there’s a reason the Lady Vols always seem to be in the regional finals. The Jayhawks found out in the opening minutes of the second half, when Tennessee’s superior depth and athleticism simply overwhelmed the underdogs.

“The second-chance points on the glass, the offensive rebounds, which is what they’ve always been about,” Kansas coach Bonnie Henrickson said. “They got into us on the offensive glass, they got into us in transition. That’s the way they got the separation in the second half.”

The Lady Vols finally took the lead, 44-42, thanks largely to back-to-back 3s from Ariel Massengale, and a pair of free throws made it 53-46 Tennessee with 11:07 to go.

Freshman post player Chelsea Gardner did her best to keep the Jayhawks close with 14 points and 10 rebounds. But Simmons hit a layup off a give-and-go from Baugh to give the Lady Vols their first double-digit lead, 63-53, with 7:07 left.Shekinna Stricklen had 16 points and nine rebounds for Tennessee, which shot 51. 5 percent in the second half.

This looked like the ultimate mismatch at the outset. Kansas was playing in just its third regional semifinal, while Tennessee was playing in its 30th — and shooting for a record 19th Final Four.

But early on, the Jayhawks seemed ready for the late morning start.

Gardner bullied her way for four inside buckets in the opening five minutes, and back-to-back layups through the paint by Goodrich gave Kansas a surprising 18-10 lead. The Lady Vols called time out in an effort to quell the run, but Goodrich and Tania Jackson buried 3s to help push the lead to 14 points.

“The first couple of minutes we came out with a lot of energy on defense and offense. We were hitting a lot of shots,” Gardner said. “We just had great defense.”

That’s the kind of deficit that will get anyone’s attention. The Lady Vols came out of a timeout with considerably more energy, responding with an energetic 19-5 run to get back within 31-29.

Kansas lost star Carolyn Davis to a knee injury last month, but rallied to earn its first regional semifinals berth since 1998 with upsets of Nebraska and third-seeded Delaware.

“We recognized what we lost, but we also had to really identify what we hadn’t lost, and I asked everyone to give a little more. And I know it sounds crazy to ask Angel Goodrich to do more, but we did. And she did. We said the goals aren’t going to change: We will find a way; we will figure this out,” Henrickson said.

Many women marriage ask: “Where, in the first place, I find a man?” I am ready to do anything he invited me to visit. «Try to search a suitable candidate in the ads. That’s the reaction of some women marriage: “I would rather die than going to learn on the ads. But such familiarity is nothing humiliating. Announcements allow lonely people meet, that’s all. What is offensive is if you will respond to the announcement of the same lonely, like you, man? Women marriage say: “Men are so embellish themselves in adding. How can I trust them?” Men always do so, as, indeed, and women. We want to present you in the best possible light. It is an integral part of flirting. You need to contact your common sense and do not accept written in the ad literally. Look for the simple and sincere messages, direct statements and unexpected manifestations of honesty: “I’m not a genius, but …”,” No, never thought I was Warren Beatty, but …» Look for a brief announcement, which simply and down-expressed desire to find love. In comparison with the relations that began with casual acquaintances and contacts developed through the ads that are more viable. Because both partners are looking for a certain type of lover, and both are ready to make every effort to bring in the new novel, all the good, what is lacking in their previous relationship. Let’s listen to some women who have found happiness with ads and try to learn how to make your own text ads to find the desired partner. If you’re going to find a partner in the declaration, I suggest several important points, which I advise to remember. 1. Determine exactly what kind of man you want. Before familiarity with the ads, make a list of qualities that you want in your lover and are binding on you. Age? Education? Profession? Hobbies?

And whether you like adult dating? Stupid question, is not it? And what adult dating you like? The question is also not different depths of intelligence, but I think it will not be mistaken if you answer it for you is simple: different. There is a very good cruise phrase: no accounting for tastes. Is true, you can argue about politics, when there was absolutely nothing to do at the end of a feast, accompanied by large amounts of strong drinks. And why should clarify that it is better – romance novels or detective novels, jazz or classic, Europe or America? Lesson is quite agreed, meaningless. And it is altogether futile to find out that it is preferable in such an intimate area as adult dating. That’s not going to. We confine ourselves to the fact that we observe that for every person – your sex, and for each sex – his lover. Geographical and spatial position. Elevator. The hotel room is where you just now stopped. The lawn in a park in the city center. Bench ibid. In exceptional cases is the marriage bed. Partner. In principle, a partner can be your own husband, but much easier to organize a violent sex with a new friend (the length of singles – 1-5 hours) type Latino lover. Characteristics. This is just one option when you fly off the buttons, pantyhose in the morning found the chandelier, you cannot sleep at all, and am having to tell colleagues in response to their goggles on your sleepy face, adorned with marvelous circles under his eyes, that you spent the night in embracing the computer (do not count, however, that someone is to believe – you will be too blissful expression on his face).

It was still unclear where exactly put love in the brain, but studies have shown that online adult dating women in the brain is a network of connections between the center of love and sex center (hypothalamus), and the center of sex you can activate only when the activated center of love. The man, apparently, no such connections, so they can separate: separate love and sex online adult dating separately. For male sex is sex, but love is love – sometimes it happens there are together. First question, which asks the woman, catching her husband’s betrayal: “You love this woman?” The man replies: “No, this is purely physical,” probably telling the truth, because he can separate sex from love. Female brains cannot understand or accept this answer, so many hard to believe when a man tells her that it means nothing. For women, sex online adult dating is love, love is sex. For the female brain is offensive is not the physical act with another woman, a violation of emotional contact, loss of confidence, which she feels for him. If a woman has changed and says that it does not mean anything, then it is probably lying. For a woman to cross the line, followed by sex, means to establish an emotional connection with another man.
